VAFO Group recently acquired the premises of a former fish cannery near Słupsk, Poland, which it plans to transform into a modern wet PetFood factory. The investment, valued at approximately $16 million, represents another step in strengthening VAFO’s position in one of its key European markets.
Specifically, the Facility will focus on the production of pouches. In its first phase, the plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 100 million units and is expected to begin operations by the end of 2027.
Production at the new facility will include both VAFO Group’s own brands and private-label products for international partners.
“This investment is a natural continuation of our existing presence in the region. In addition to the proximity of our Carry Pet Food facility, our decision was strongly supported by the highly constructive cooperation with local authorities and investment institutions within the Słupsk Special Economic Zone (SSEZ),” said Jakub Majer of VAFO Group. “This allows us to fully leverage the synergies we have already built in the region and further expand our production capacities in Poland.”
