Maxi Zoo Denmark, the Danish subsidiary of Europe's leading pet store chain Fressnapf, will take over the Danish pet store chain Petworld on 1 January 2021. This was confirmed to PET worldwide by Fressnapf press spokesperson Christian Peters-Lach, although no details were given as negotiations are still ongoing.
Maxi Zoo Denmark is the leading pet store chain in the Scandinavian country with 46 outlets (as of end of 2019). Petworld operates 36 stores in Denmark (end of 2019) as well as online shops in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
