20 Sainsbury's stores have rolled out the Pet Hubs pilot, with more on the way if successful. The new Pet Hubs amenity will offer customers a choice of pet products and brands that are usually only found in specialist pet shops and vets. It will feature 100 new lines added to Sainsbury's pet range, including Petface, Frontline and Lintbells.
Sainsbury's said initial feedback on the trial phase had been positive and if successful, it would be extending the roll-out to more stores and online. Sainsbury's is keen to increase its market share, and is even offering own-brand mince pies for dogs and pet-friendly Christmas meals and treats.
