The Dutch company Scholtus, a leading manufacturer of dog and cat treats, has acquired the treat offering of private label manufacturer Teeling Petfood.
While Scholtus is aiming to strengthen its treat range, Teeling wants to concentrate on its core competence of moist food in trays for dogs.
Scholtus managing director Jan Smulders intends to accelerate the introduction of new product concepts and expansion into new distribution channels, according to a press release by the company.
