In Louth in the UK, packaging manufacturer Coveris has opened a new Re-Cover recycling plant. It aims to set new standards for recycling polyethylene films with the new facility.
Re-Cover is a recently established business division of Coveris, which uses a new process to produce high-quality recycled materials from plastic waste. Printed PE packaging films made from industrial waste can thus be supplied for further use. The new plant in Louth is the second in the portfolio of the packaging company.
The Re-Cover plant is located on the site of the PE extrusion and conversion plant of Coveris Louth. A laboratory is also based there to support the innovative process, quality control and inspection of the recycled material and its use in the extrusion of Coveris films with a recycled element.
