Symrise, a global supplier of fragrances, flavours, food and cosmetic ingredients, is strengthening its pet food operations and expanding its US footprint with the acquisition of ADF/IDF.
The leading meat and egg-based protein specialist is a pioneer in all natural nutrition ingredients, generating annual sales of $ 220 million with approximately 470 employees. The nutrition and taste solutions it creates for the pet food and food segments are highly complementary to Symrise's offer. The purchase price amounting to $ 900 million will be financed by debt and equity, and the transaction is subject to satisfaction of the customary closing conditions.
ADF/IDF is headquartered in Springfield, Missouri (USA) and operates 11 manufacturing sites and 2 technical centres across North America.
