Global pet food market on course to grow

The American market research institute Transparency Market Research expects annual growth in the global pet food market of 4.2 per cent in the next six years to $74.8 bn in 2017. With a share of 40 per cent, the US market is named as the largest sub-market.

The report' authors anticipate that the key sales driver worldwide will be dry food, followed by snacks and treats along with wet food.
