Healthy Pet acquired the Simply Pine cat litter brand

Healthy Pet, formerly Absorption Corp., has acquired the Simply Pine cat litter brand and related cat litter businesses from Dry Creek Products. The companies entered into a multi-year agreement for Dry Creek to supply Healthy Pet with cat litter products.

"Combing the Simply Pine business with our existing Healthy Pet litter sales and the coming launch of our ökocat product line will give the company critical mass and an excellent platform for further growth in this attractive segment of the market."

Absorption Corp. transitioned to the Healthy Pet brand name in January. Healthy Pet is now an umbrella for all of Absorption Corp.'s pet products with major category brands such as CareFRESH and Critter Care. The new identity reflects the company's focus as a pet products company.
