Penn-Plax, a manufacturer and distributor of quality pet products, and has been in business since 1959. Penn-Plax focuses upon the requirements of the pet owner and aquarium hobbyist and develops products which will satisfy their needs at reasonable prices. This outlook of identifying a consumer need and working to fill it, has allowed Penn-Plax to address needs and develop a wide variety of products for any specific type of animal. Penn-Plax carries a full line of quality pet products for Aquarium, Bird, Cat, Dog, and Small Animal categories.
The company began with the Goldman Family designing plastic aerating aquarium ornaments in the back room of the Saratoga Tropaquarium in Brooklyn, NY. The products produced were so well received, and demand quickly became so strong, that a manufacturing plant was soon opened. Today Penn-Plax manufacturers and distributes thousands of products and employs over 200 people. Penn-Plax has become successful by identifying consumer pet needs and creating quality, reasonably priced items which can then be sold at retail to the benefit of both the consumer and pet shop owner.
