Samodra is a company based in Indonesia that operates bentonite mining and processing facilities. As well as providing general purpose swelling and non-swelling bentonite powder, Samodra also provides clumping and ultra-clumping bentonite-based cat litter, which is marketed both as bespoke white-label and as Samodra?branded cat litter. Samodra’s 25-acre sodium (Na) and 75-acre calcium (Ca) bentonite quarries are located in Bondowoso Regency, along one of Indonesia’s richest bentonite belts. Multiple geological surveys have estimated our Na- and Ca bentonite deposits to be ?12 million and 68 million metric tonne, respectively. Our general purpose swelling Na bentonite mixes readily and is typically used in piling, drilling and sealing applications. However, it is not designed for uses in admixtures containing cementitious materials. Especially for that purpose, our non-swelling Ca bentonite enables enhanced yield and increases cement stability. As a green company, Samodra takes great pride in ensuring the reforestation of our old quarries.

Samodra is Indonesia’s major supplier of bespoke white label clumping cat litter. Bentonite-based cat litter is the most widely sold clumping cat litter worldwide. Our bentonite-based clumping cat litter is produced by mining naturally-occurring sodium bentonite and mixing it with calcium bentonite to produce an economical cat litter with a firm clumping action. The ratio of different bentonite types determines the cat litter's clumping characteristics, i.e. normal clumping and ultra clumping, which absorbs fluid and moisture twice as effective as its normal counterpart. Depending on the preferences of our buyers, we can tailor-made our white label cat litter to meet the required clumping characteristics, mesh size, colours, additives, fragrance, and cost effective packaging options.
