Pet Fair Asia will move to a new venue in 2017, using eight halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. For the show’s 20th anniversary, there will be 1,000 exhibitors, stands up to 1,000 square meters and a total exhibition space of 100,000 square meters. Pet Fair Asia is the largest exhibition for dog, cat, small animal and reptile supplies in Asia, based on net square meters, number of exhibitors and number of visitors, according to the event’s promoters.

Various pavilions at Pet Fair Asia
Pet Fair Asia will welcome for the first time a pavilion dedicated to New Zealand, where numerous premium brands have emerged in the past few years. More than ever, pet food is at the center of the market demand, particularly premium food and natural products. International pet food brands are more than ever present in Asia.
The production of pet food in China and other Asian countries is also on the rise, with an increasing demand for upstream suppliers, ingredients, machinery and packaging solutions. The exhibit section dedicated to these suppliers increased 60 percent in 2017.
While pet food represents about 35 percent of Pet Fair Asia, an entire 12,000 square meter hall will focus on pharmaceutical, veterinary and pet clinic industry leader both international and domestic, while other halls focus on cat products, small pets, aquaria, etc. Most of these sections come with dedicated on-site events and conferences.
The organizer expects to welcome 30,000 professionals on trade days and 100,000 consumers during the week-end, and encourage online-pre-registration to better prepare the visit of the show and avoid queuing at the entrance.
Call for Papers announced for Petfood Forum China 2017
The Petfood Forum China 2017 content advisory board is seeking abstracts for noncommercial presentations. Abstracts are due April 28, 2017.
Petfood Forum China 2017 is scheduled for 23 August at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in conjunction with Pet Fair Asia 2017. Please do not submit an abstract if you are not sure you will be able to attend Petfood Forum China on 23 August, 2017, in Shanghai.

In the United States, pet food industry professionals can learn from speakers, including Randi Zuckerberg and Temple Grandin, at Petfood Industry’s 25th Anniversary edition of Petfood Forum, an exclusive event serving pet treat and pet food manufacturers. Petfood Forum will take place at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA on April 3-5, 2017.
