Multipet International has acquired Tuff Enuff Pet Products and Old Mill Pet Products. Tuff Enuff produces soft, durable and interactive toys designed to last longer than everyday plush toys, while Old Mill manufactures the natural dog treats line Nature’s Bits.
Tuff Enuff dog toys have multi-layered fabric construction, reinforced seams, cross-stitched fabric and a patented Ever Squeak Squeaker, which continues to work even if crushed or punctured.
“With increasing market demand for more durable toys, the addition of the Tuff Enuff line is a natural fit with our Multipet brand of products,” said Mark Hirschberg, president of Multipet. “Having the Ever Squeak technology in our Tuff Enuff toys allows Multipet to eliminate the disappointment pet owners feel when a squeaker is crushed and their pet no longer has interest in the toy. Ever Squeak adds to the longevity of the Tuff Enuff line.”
Manufactured in the USA, Old Mill’s grain and gluten free Nature’s Bits come in six natural flavors: bison, salmon, chicken, beef, duck and peanut butter.
The acquisition of Old Mill falls in line with Multipet’s strategy to diversify within the pet industry,” Hirschberg said. “The extensive distribution network Old Mill has established as well as their reputation within the consumable market easily solidified the decision for this acquisition.”
