Ferplast Slovakia celebrates its first 10 years

It is 10 years since Ferplast, a leading Italian company in the pet product market, opened its third production site in Slovakia. The site was built in one year and created jobs for over 200 people, according to Ferplast. The decision to go to Slovakia was taken when competition was emerging from China and it was necessary to reduce production costs without affecting the level of quality and service. Ferplast's Slovakian plant produces iron and plastic items such as bird and small animal cages, along with technical accessories for aquariums.

The founder and owner of the group, Carlo Vaccari, has been recognised for his decision to locate a plant in Slovakia. The mayor of Nezvady, where the plant is located, has awarded Vaccari honorary citizenship to thank him for the investment made in the city.
