Fressnapf completes successful General Assembly

On 24 May, Fressnapf celebrated its 25th anniversary with a huge anniversary event – with a big thank you to employees and business partners – in the Areal Boehler in Düsseldorf. Also the biannual General Assembly was held for the first time in the industrial halls.

Main topic of this year's General Assembly was the current implementation status of the corporate strategy 'Challenge 2020'. Especially the progress that was made in transforming into a real cross-channel-provider was discussed by company founder Torsten Töller.

In total, over €60 million ($67.5 million) has been invested in the conversion of Fressnapf-group to SAP-system, the migration of the online shops onto the platform hybris, a new POS-system for the Fressnapf-markets and in a new logistics centre, which will work fully automated in the near future.

In order to reach the declared target, and to continue to be the partner for pet owners and pets, the challenges for the upcoming two years are already set: All implemented systems will be further optimized and the focus on the customer will be converted in all channels.

Also part of the program were the elections of the new Franchise Advisory Board and of the committees, which, along with the headquarter in Krefeld, crucially contribute the shaping of the future of Fressnapf.

As the perfect closing of the General Assembly 2015, Torsten Töller and his team were handed the F & C Award in Gold of the International Centre for Franchising and Cooperation. The highlight of a successful day was the 25th anniversary celebration with over 3,500 employees, industrial partners, friends and Fressnapf-companions.
